POINT Guard I/O, Safe Input/Output Module

This POINT Guard I/O module, designed for use with the standard POINT I/O System, is ideal for use in applications requiring additional safety and automation control. The POINT Guard I/O modules communicates with the CIP Safety protocol over EtherNet/IP for GuardLogix safety controllers and DeviceNet for SmartGuard600 safety controllers.

Providing safety and automation control in one I/O solution, the application of the CIP safety protocol allows simultaneous transmission of safety and automation control data and diagnostic information over one CIP network. This I/O module is ideal for applications requiring maximum I/O density with the least panel space. POINT Guard I/O has been designed for use with industrial equipment and is especially suited for robotic, point of operation, guard monitoring and distributed control applications.
